IMPORTANT HPNA ANNOUNCEMENT - PLEASE READ

Last week, the national HPNA Board of Directors voted to transition all local HPNA Chapters into online HPNA State Communities, and to close all local HPNA chapters by the end of this year. After December 31, 2024, the Metro NY HPNA Chapter will be dissolved. No local membership dues will be collected and the ENP website will be closed. If you have opted for automatic renewal, please go to the ENP site (https://metronyhpna.nursingnetwork.com) and cancel future transactions. 

Our current board remains committed to our wonderful community of greater NYC area palliative care nurses and maintain our commitment to and excitement for the Chapter dinner event on Wednesday, October 30, 2024. The current board is also planning to host an dinner event in the Spring of 2025. We will have raffles for Palliative Care resources, books, and opportunities at these two meetings. Please take advantage of these events - we hope to see you soon!

We are also brainstorming ideas for an alternate forum for socializing, networking, resource sharing, opportunity dissemination, education, and communicating - please reach out to eliza_giles@me.com if you would like to be involved in these conversations and organizing for our future. We will update you all via the ENP site before the end of the year. 

Lastly, we want to take a moment to thank all of the chapter members, past and current, including board members for your dedication to the palliative nursing community, support, and contributions to the field. While we are sad to close this chapter, we look forward to new opportunities to strengthen our network and grow with you.
